Program Overview

  • Landtech Cloud customers using Landtech on a transactional basis now get integration  with Closing Site for file tracking, customer communications and much more. This integration comes at no extra charge as a feature of Landtech in the cloud along with Microsoft Office Standard. Several existing Landtech customers have moved their Landtech program and files to the cloud with the transactional model.   • Site Maintenance and Publishing: Post documents and closing timelines directly to your web site or to a provider such as Closing Site. Manage who sees what files and information from anywhere. Landtech makes it easier and more affordable than any other software to accomplish this.
  • Order Surveys, lien searches, document imaging services and marketing assistance directly from within Landtech. One button file management and service.
  • E-Recording from within the closing file with a receipt for recordings dropped automatically into the Landtech Digital Documents folder for your review, reprinting, etc.
  • Attach emails from Outlook to the Landtech closing file. When you are in the Landtech closing file, View all of the emails pertaining to that file. Attach multiple emails to any file or files.
  • Generate Closing Protection Letters and Title Policy jackets for most underwriters from directly within the Landtech closing file!
  • True One-Time Entry – information is entered only once and is then automatically passed throughout the program into Landtech’s internal functions or to other programs such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Excel and Access. For the diehards, we also interface with some versions of Crystal Reports. Data can also be published to your Web site for viewing by transactional parties and you choose which pages and features they have access to.
  • Several types of Closing Statements included: You can use either the pre-2009 HUD forms, the GFE/HUD forms or several varieties of Cash Closing Statements, and you can use the Closing Disclosure and ALTA and non-ALTA Seller, Buyer and Combined Settlement Statements if you are required to prepare one of these types of statements.
  • Landtech can also convert seamlessly from a pre-2009 HUD form to a GFE/HUD form and from a GFE/HUD back to a pre-2009 HUD.
  • MICR check generation. Included as part of the program, the ability to produce checks from blank paper!
  • Email and PDF creation of HUD forms and all other forms as attachments directly from within the program. Landtech for Windows opens up Microsoft Outlook© and attaches the documents automatically.
  • Full escrow management – check writing, escrow accounting for as many as 150 bank accounts with no file limitations. Data can be exported to QuickBooks© as well, but the Landtech Escrow Accounting System is the strongest escrow accounting system in the industry, favored by underwriters, state auditors and in-house accounting departments and is included at no additional charge. A real estate closing program that doesn’t manage the escrow needs of its customers is a weak program.
  • Long Names of Buyers, Sellers or Lenders now print on the HUD form and in all documents.
  • Corporate Signature Blocks, no matter how complex, can be entered into Landtech and when merging documents, any existing Corporate Seller or Buyer signature blocks are brought into the documents automatically.
  • Quick-View! Look up any file information from a computer or your Blackberry®, IPhone®, or any other smart phone. See the File Information (Buyers, Sellers Lender, Parcel ID Number, etc.). You can view File Information, Notes, Legal Descriptions, Exceptions, Requirements and any documents attached to the file. You can also see the email addresses of parties to the transaction and check off the ones you want to email any documents that you select to any recipient in the closing file.
  • Landtech eSign is included with Landtech. Landtech eSign is a free mobile app for the IPad and IPhone. Landtech eSign allows you to sign any PDF document using electronic signature technology and email it directly from within the app. Want more information? Please contact us.
  • Indexing and lookup on over 100 fields, including Buyers, Sellers, Lenders, Tax Folio Numbers, Commitment/Policy numbers, Closer/Processor, Attorneys, Realtors and Associates, Source of Business, File Status and many others by up to 3 criteria. For instance, search for files where the buyers’ names were Smith, the property was on Chestnut Street and Valley National Bank was the Lender. Landtech will narrow the search down to transactions that meet all 3 criteria.
  • Full 1099S electronic reporting from your own data, without the necessity (or cost) of using a third party. Keep your data to yourself and ensure that there is no double-entry when dealing with the IRS.
  • Direct entry onto a HUD form or Cash statements. Dialogue boxes to “walk” you through the closing may be activated with a mouse click, but you may type directly on the HUD Settlement Form or the Buyer and Seller Cash Closing Statements for speed and instant calculations.   • Regulation “Z” APR calculations and Amortization Schedules for Balloon Mortgages, Adjustable Mortgages, etc. Calculations approved by the Federal Reserve Bank. Now accurately calculating 60 year terms!
  • Landtech Document Editor: The Landtech internal word processor allows instant printing of conveyance and title documents right from within the file! When printing the HUD and other statements, you can check off any or all of these documents to be printed or emailed at the same time, saving valuable time and effort.
  • Microsoft® Word Document Merge Templates: Easy to use merge documents in Word format, (including title forms for any title underwriters). There is nothing embedded in these forms and they can be changed on the fly or globally for your entire staff to use. Your existing forms are easily converted by you or by Landtech Florida. Check out the documents at the Landtech Forms web site for a full list of available documents and samples. These are true Microsoft Word templates, not something with “Word-like” features.
  • XML Import Facility: Import data directly from your underwriters. Most underwriters have this technological export capability. These underwriters and some independents can provide you title work and commitment information that flows seamlessly into Landtech for Windows, making Commitment and Policy production fast and easy. Landtech even has a free XML generation program for independent searchers and examiners to easily interface with Landtech’s customers in 48 states.
  • XML Export Facility: Export XML closing file information via email or into other programs such as Excel and Access. Seamless transfer of files between your branches not connected to a central server. Send file information directly to and from the underwriter, but only if you want to. Generate any report from Landtech through the XML export facility and send it to Microsoft Excel or Access to further refine your reports.
  • Change HUD and Closing Disclosure descriptions easily.  Landtech also includes an 80 line Addendum for those really involved closings. And, of course, all lines calculate perfectly.
  • Extended HUD descriptions. Landtech allows for the full length use of the lines on the HUD Statements. Now, when Lenders demand unwieldy descriptions, Landtech can do this by allowing you to utilize the entire HUD line.
  • Master Files. Create an unlimited number of Master Files (also referred to as Base files) for Condominium Projects, subdivisions, lenders, etc. complete with all information, such as legal description, title clauses, payees, common charges, common sellers and any other feature that you wish, such as your charges on different types of closings. Unlimited reasons and easy to do.
  • Paperless closing features. Landtech includes the ability to produce electronic signatures on all of your forms and encrypt them as holographic signatures which are recognized as true legal signatures.
